No matter how hard she tried to forget the past the scar on her face would always remind her. Local bullies had set their dogs on to Sally, and her scream seems to be forever locked into her. When her family moves, the open moors bring some peace, until she hears dogs hare - coursing, and sees the ghostly white hare, reputed to presage a death.
