Wayside School has been closed for 234 days. That's how long it took to get rid of all the cows. Now the famous sideways school is open and the fun begins again. It's pet day on the thirtieth floor, and dogs and cats and skunks and pigs are causing a terrible commotion. In Mrs. Drazil's class, they're throwing coffeepots, potatoes, and pencil sharpeners out the window. It's a scientific experiment to help the kids learn about gravity. And Miss Much has prepared a special lunch of baked liver in purple sauce. Yummy!

The biggest surprise at Wayside School is that Mrs. Jewls is going to have a baby. The kids are helping her select names: Cootie face if it's a girl; Bucket Head if it's a boy. But now Mrs. Jewls's class is going to have a substitute teacher. And if you know anything about Wayside School, you'll know that you can expect anything to happen.

故事簡介：

只要班上的學生不聽話，老師Mrs. Gorf就把眼前的學生變成蘋果。當老師正慶幸因為學生全都變成蘋果而不用再來上課時，變成蘋果的學生群起反擊，不但讓Mrs. Corf解除對學生們所施的魔法，更技巧的讓Mrs. Corf 永遠地消失。

新來的Mrs. Jewls是位溫柔又和善的老師，但面對這群古靈精怪的學生，一連串天真卻又無厘頭的問題與答案，Mrs. Jewls似乎有點無所適從。
