●These chapters were chosen to reflect the wide range of topics considered as domains within psycholinguistic inquiry, including some topics often given little or no coverage in introductory texts-neurolinguistics, speech perception, reading, and second language acquisition.●Within these chapters, our intention was to develop an understanding of the major issues confronting researchers in the field, rather than an exhaustive summary of work to date. Thus, the text is introductory in intent and is meant to begin rather than end a student’s study of the psychology of language.
