說到親子共讀，大部分都是從睡前的說故事時間開始，所以國外有很多繪本主題都是設定在bedtime，英國的企鵝出版社所推出這系列的經典童話故事繪本，就是結合家喻戶曉的童話經典與睡前硬頁繪本，提供給學齡前的幼兒第一次接觸經典童話很好的選擇，當然父母都希望睡前故事時間最好不要太長講到自己都睡著，所以濃縮且重新編輯的Penguin Bedtime Classics系列真的很適合剛起步要和孩子親子共讀的父母使用了。
除了經典童話的故事濃縮外，重新加上色彩繽紛吸眼球的繪圖，加上可愛到不行的人物設計，連大人都會忍不住多翻幾次，因為是睡前故事所以設定在五分鐘內可以讀完，就算要再讀一本（一次）也不會讀到天荒地老的感覺😆
